Calma by Medela teat. After trying to bottlefeed Adel with different teats, we finally decided to try the Calma teat. The price? AU$25 each!
Adel seemed so weak everytime we fetch him from the babysitter for the past couple of days. I believe its because he starved himself all day, refusing to take the bottle. I supplied the bs with syringes & spoon, so she did feed him a little bit milk from the syringe everyday.
We tried everyday with different teats; Tommee Tippee's variable flow, medium flow, slow flow; MAM; Pureen & Avent. And the teats here isn't cheap too. $9 each set (set of 2). So we decided to try Calma first and not waste on other teats.
Finally today....Adel wants to take bottle, even if its just a little (bs said he drank 50ml only) but still its just a start...I hope tomorrow will be better for him. Plus, he was so jumpy & playful & cheerful today when I came to fetch him. I guess its because he was not starved like he used to today. Yeay for Adel!
Once he's used to the bottle, we'll try to change his teats again to a cheaper option.
