End of lease, new house

Our lease with our current house will end at the end of this month. So a week ago, we have started looking for a house. We went to inspect about 7 houses, and finally managed to get one. I guess because when we were inspecting the house, the owner was there & Adel greeted & chat with the old lady. Thanks Adel. Hehe...Our new house, is exactly in front of shops (2 minutes) & near a reserve (park) (5 minutes). And the bus stop is just down the road (1 minute) and it took 18 minutes bus ride to the uni. Cool huh? Other houses in that area with the same type are much more expensive than ours. Oh, and it is quite difficult to get a house here, especially if we are self-sponsored student without any financial guarantees.

How the system works here is:
1. Find a house that we are interested in (from website, etc)
2. MUST go to the inspection (according to their specific time & date)
3. Fill in the form given on inspection day
4. IF we are selected by the agent, they will give us a call to sign the contract, etc
5. They will call all our reference in the form to get information about us
6. The contract is usually up to a year or 2 years. Depends. For short term, maybe about 6 months, or few weeks.
7. Once we get the house, the landlord will usually come by the house every 3 months to inspect the house. Depends on the landlord too. Some landlords are soooooo damn strict. They even check for dust at the windowsills, etc.
