One Month....and I'm Dead-meat!!
It's been a month since I've been enrolled in Adelaide Uni. I've been working in a VERY slow pace. I guess it's because this is totally a new topic for me, so I need lotsa time to establish my literarure reviews and my understandings on the topic. Oh man, try reading one Engineering journal, it's so hard to understand.
Last week, in my IBP-R(International Bridging Program-Research) workshop, I learned how to analyzed and take important notes from literatures/journal articles. It's so simple, just separate the English and the Science. So when I get back home, I read the journal I've been reading for several days just to undertand what the heck the authors were trying to say, and I implied the method I've learned in the workshop. And it was really a success. I managed to understand the article just by one reading, by separating the science and the english. Before, I was copying it's English, thus, making it hard to understand and taking a lot of my time. Besides, we tend to plagiarised by copying their english.
At first, I thought IBP-R is just another English class for international students. But I was proven wrong. I learned A LOT of research methodologies that I have never learned before in IIUM. Every class I went, I was like "Oh! Now I understand.." And after each class, I was so inspired to do my work and to apply my knowledge.
I went to the library again this morning to borrow more books. Note: This is just the books, there are also pp-lleenn-tyy of journal articles to read. In just one month, I have borrowed this much, and have read only a few. Heehe.
Anyways, I'm a bit frantic now coz I haven't started my proposal yet which I have to submit the 1st draft on the 20th Sept and 2nd draft in November. My (Core Component Structured Program) CCSP due date is in January. AARRGGGHH!!! Panic mode has striked!!
