Engineering ratio - Female:Male
I have personally encountered this situation many times.
1. When I was in IIUM Matriculation, there were only 4-6 girls in my class since our classes were divided according to our names and English level. When I entered main campus, a lot of students thought I was a direct-intake (diploma) student because they have never seen me before.
2. When I was in IIUM Main Campus, our classes were balanced between boys and girls.
3. Now, in my International Bridging Program-Research (IBP-R) classes, there were only 4 girls. So we team up to a form one group for any group discussion.
sama cam kdah la. masa masuk engineering course dulu (before i decided to tukar TESL). only 2 girls in the class and the other girl was soooo shy, i HAD to leave!
