IELTS speaking test
Yesterday was my speaking test. How did I do? I don't know. I'll just have to wait for the results to know whether I did good or not. Is it difficult? Not really. It's just that I always get nervous when I have to confront situations like this ie. interviews, presentation, seminars, etc....
For those who someday might take the IELTS exam, you can refer to these sample questions. So these are the questions that I could remember from my speaking test yesterday (9 Jan 2013):
1. What is your full name?
2. Where are you from?
3. Where is your hometown exactly?
4. Do you know the meaning of your name?
5. Does anyone in your family have the same name?
6. How do you think people chooses names?
7. What names are popular in your country.
(Interviewer: Now I'm going to ask you about cards)
8. Have you ever send postcards or cards to anyone before?
9. Have anyone given you any cards?
10. What do you do with the cards?
11. Why do you keep these cards?
(Interviewer: Now, I'm going to give you a topic. You must talk about it for 2-3 minutes. You have 1 minute to prepare)
Topic: What television program that you have learned something from?
1. What program is it?
2. When do you see it?
3. What can you learn from it?
(Interviewer: I'm going to ask you about television program)
1. Do you think TV is educational for children?
2. How about for adults? Are the programs in the television educational?
3. How will television affect the society?
4. What are the disadvantages and advantages of satellite television in your country?
The speaking test took about 10-14 minutes. Anyway, hope this will help you guys for your IELTS preparation someday.
