Breville Scraper Mixer BEM 410S

Tadaa~~ here is the thing that I lay-by a few weeks back, remember? Oooh! I am so excited to have this. I've been wanting to have a stand mixer like this since I was a teenager (yeah rite!), or, was it after I got married? This stand mixer have lots of good reviews. It is local (OZ) brand, price is reasonable, but it is as good as the much-expensive-it-didn't-make-sense Kitchenaid or Kenwood stand mixer. I am not a professional baker & I do not bake for a living, so I didn't see the need to buy such an expensive stand mixer like Kitchenaid or Kenwood. Besides, the higher range model of Breville stand mixer, BEM 800XL, is one of the top stand mixer. This is the mid range model and it got almost all extensions the BEM 800XL have. 

This mixer is said to cut 60% of mixing time. And I tried it just now and it's true! I made a meringue in just a couple of minutes - before, I only used a hand mixer and it took me 15min-30min just to get the soft peak. And another few minutes to clean the bowl. This bowl on the other hand, is so easy to clean. It is also called the scraper mixer because you don't need to scrape the bowl while you beat/mix because of the design of the mixer.

I got mine from Target while it was on offer. The offer, stainless steel mixer, comes with a free ice-cream bowl. So now I can make my own ice-cream too (kalau rajin).
