Congratulations Adel, you have reached the 3000g mark!

When Adel was in SCBU, I always saw signs like "Congratulations baby (name), you have reached the 2000g/3000g mark!". At first, I didn't understand why only certain cribs have the sign? My son is already 2.45kg at that time, why didn't he have the sign? Then, I realized, these babies are all premature babies, from less than a kilo to 2 kg or 3 kg. So, when these babies gained weight to 2000g or 3000g, the midwives will put up the congratulatory sign so when their parents came, they will be so proud of their baby's weight gain.

Today, I'm the proud mother. Adel has lost weight since he came home on Monday. But quickly gained more than he lost in the past couple of days. He has gone up from 2.45kg (birth weight) to 3.06kg today! The midwife was happy with his weight gain & said he can be discharged from the NED program this Monday due to his very good progress. Bagusnya anak Mama!

Anyway, tomorrow will be Adel's 1 month old birthday~ I can't believe he is 1 month already. And I wasn't even supposed to be due until the end of May! This is a great Mother's Day gift for me knowing that my baby is healthy & progressing normally. Alhamdulillah...
